Island Peak

This will be a great experience for all types of people, who are in search for moderate, adventurous climbing experience. All you need for this trip is your positive attitude and in sound physical health, as this trip takes you to the high popular route of Everest with ample time to get acclimatised and to be in the high mountain spirit before the ascent to Island Peak or Imja Tse 6199m. It offers a worthwhile challenge and competent in using ice axe and crampons, being technically straight forward. The climb will be undertaken towards the end of the trek when everyone will be fully acclimatised after the moderate walk from Lukla and to Kalapathar. Finally heading for the Imja valley and Island Peak Base Camp. For those not attempting the climb of Island Peak there is the opportunity to explore the Imja Khola Valley.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu. Meet & transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.
Day 02: ½ day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. O/N Hotel.
Day 03: Fly Kathmandu / Lukla. Trek to Phakding. O/N Camp.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar. O/N Camp.
Day 05: Rest and acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. O/N Camp.
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche. O/N Camp.
Day 07: Trek to Pheriche. O/N Camp.
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche. O/N Camp.
Day 09: Trek to Gorekshep. O/N Camp.
Day 10: Climb Kalapattar and return to Lobuche. O/N Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Dingboche. O/N Camp.
Day 12: Trek to Chhukung. O/N Camp.
Day 13: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp. O/N Camp.
Day 14: Rest day at Base Camp for preparation. O/N Camp.
Day 15: Trek to High Camp. O/N Camp.
Day 16: Climb Island Peak and return to Base Camp. O/N Camp.
Day 17: Trek to Dingboche. O/N Camp.
Day 18: Trek to Thyangboche. O/N Camp.
Day 19: Trek to Namche. O/N Camp.
Day 20: Trek to Lukla. O/N Camp.
Day 21: Fly Lukla / Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.
Day 22: At leisure in Kathmandu for independent activities. O/N Hotel.
Day 23: Transfer to airport for departure.
