Mera & Amphu Laptsa

All Nepal Trekking Photographs courtesy Himex Nepal This trek to Mera combines one of the most challenging passes of Mera-La 5,415m and Amphu Lapcha. Our adrenaline adventurous journey begins from the popular gateway to Everest at Lukla with a sweeping panoramic flight from Kathmandu.

From here onwards into wilderness zone of the Khumbu region, passing through numerous passes and unspoiled forest of rhododendron and pines before heading to the base of Mera peak. Adventure continues on the upper isolated Hongu Valley crossing high pass of Amphu Lapcha before descending to the Khumbu area. Our trek follows the main popular trail from here onwards to Lukla via the famed scenic places of Thyangboche and Namche Bazaar.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu. Meet & transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.
Day 02: ½ day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. O/N Hotel.
Day 03: Fly Kathmandu / Lukla. O/N Camp.
Day 04: Trek to Chhutanga. O/N Camp.
Day 05: Rest and acclimatization day at Chhutanga. O/N Camp.
Day 06: Trek to Tuli Kharka. O/N Camp.
Day 07: Trek to Mousum Kharka. O/N Camp.
Day 08: Trek to Tagnag. O/N Camp.
Day 09: Rest and acclimatization day at Tagnag. O/N Camp.
Day 10: Another rest and acclimatization day at Tagnag. O/N Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Khare. O/N Camp.
Day 12: Rest day at Khare. O/N Camp.
Day 13: Trek to Mera High Camp. O/N Camp.
Day 14: Climb of Mera Peak and return to Base Camp. O/N Camp.
Day 15: Trek to Upper Hongu Valley. O/N Camp.
Day 16: Trek to Panch Pokhari. O/N Camp.
Day 17: Rest day at Panch Pokhari. O/N Camp.
Day 18: Cross Amphu Laptsa. O/N Camp.
Day 19: Trek to Pangboche. O/N Camp.
Day 20: Trek to Khumjung. O/N Camp.
Day 21: Trek to Monjo. O/N Camp.
Day 22: Trek to Lukla. O/N Camp.
Day 23: Fly Lukla / Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel.
Day 24: At leisure in Kathmandu for independent activities. O/N Hotel.
Day 25: Transfer to airport for departure.
