Being at a high altitude, the roads in Tibet are not exactly the best in the world and to get to certain remote areas you have to travel over un-metalled stretches. Hence travelling in these remote areas is best done by a strong, Jeep type vehicle. And there will be enough areas where it is not possible to drive and trekking is the only way to see the high altitude monasteries and lakes. Also not all areas of Tibet have good hotels or even Guest Houses and you will have to stay in tents overnight and enjoy the fun of high altitude camping.

Lhasa Area Tour

On this tour you will have the opportunity of touring around Tsedang area which houses many old monasteries. Visit Nangseling Manor (16th Century serf-owner's home) and Mindroling Monastery (The first Lama institution in Tibet), Bhalangchukang (8th century Tibetan temple)and Lhagyuri (Winter palace of Local court in 13th century). Also see the Holy Lake Lhamo Nhatso and visit Chongkhogye Monastery (16th century Gelugkpa Monastery) You can also Trek to Chingpu (a very important centre for all high ranking Lama's meditation).
